Solitude
Evenings like this, my dogs all tired and therefore content and quiet, birds singing, wind rustling through the leaves providing a soothing white noise, I wonder how I ever managed to live with anyone.
Some might find the isolation, living out here alone, unpleasant. I cant imagine feeling more peace than I do in moments such as these.
Living alone brings me not only the peace but a sense of confidence and strength which has been life changing.

From this amazing view just a while ago, now watching the fireflies in the field. Perfect night!
Until about midnight when several racoons decided my tree was perfect place to have their noisy turf wars!
